Los Angeles is a sprawling city, it is possible to start driving from one side of the city and in two hours time still be within the Los Angles metropolitan area, the public transport infrastructure is not as developed as more compact conurbations such as New York. Due to this if visiting Los Angeles one may be well advised to consider car hire, it is a very common choice and reasonably priced.
